Membership Eligibility

Liberty Girls is a private heritage-centered club whose curriculum is rooted in the traditions, history, folkways, and cultural inheritance of Europe and the European-American experience.

To be eligible for membership, an applicant must be able to trace European ancestry through both her maternal and paternal family lines. This requirement is not based on ancestry percentages or on being exclusively of European ancestry. Rather, the applicant must have identifiable European lineage on both sides of her family.

This shared heritage is central to the Liberty Girls curriculum. Members explore their own family histories, ancestral traditions, cultural inheritance, and the ways those traditions helped shape the American experience. Because this work is woven throughout the program, the heritage requirement is a fundamental part of membership and participation in the curriculum.

Liberty Girls believes in freedom of association and in the importance of preserving cultural heritage and tradition. We respect the right of people from every background to form communities in which they can explore, preserve, celebrate, and pass on their own cultural heritage. Liberty Girls exists to provide such a community for the particular heritage and traditions at the heart of our program.
