Liberty Girls is a heritage-centered girls' private club created to give girls something increasingly rare: a childhood filled with purpose, practical skills, meaningful traditions, adventure, and genuine sisterhood.
We believe girls thrive when they are given the opportunity to become capable—to use their hands, explore the natural world, understand where they come from, serve others, practice good character, and discover just how much they can do.
Here, girls don't simply collect badges.
They build a life of skills, one experience at a time.

Our mission is to help raise confident, capable, well-rounded young women through character, heritage, practical knowledge, service, stewardship, and adventure.
From their earliest years as Bee Buds through their transition into young womanhood, Liberty Girls are encouraged to grow in independence and responsibility while remaining rooted in family, community, and the generations that came before them.
The goal is not perfection.
The goal is a girl who can say:
“I know where I come from.
I know how to contribute.
And I know I am capable.”
The Heart of Liberty Girls
Liberty Girls is a heritage-centered sisterhood with a particular focus on European ancestry and the traditions, history, arts, craftsmanship, folklore, and cultural inheritance that grew from it.
Throughout the Liberty Girls journey, girls are encouraged to discover their own family stories and understand the generations who came before them.
They may explore genealogy, traditional handcrafts, historical cooking, folk music and dance, mythology and folklore, regional customs, languages, seasonal traditions, and the many different peoples and cultures that make up Europe's heritage.
We do not believe every organization or club needs to speak to every family in exactly the same way.
Liberty Girls has a distinct heritage focus, and we believe families should understand that clearly before choosing to join.
At the same time, heritage is only one part of the sisterhood.
Liberty Girls brings girls and women together around character, capability, service, stewardship, adventure, practical skills, family, and the responsibility to carry worthwhile knowledge forward.
Mothers may take the Liberty Girls journey alongside their daughters. Older girls grow into mentors for younger ones. And eventually, Liberty Ladies can become the women who preserve skills, stories, and traditions for another generation.
We learn where we came from.
We learn what we are capable of.
And we carry what is worth preserving forward.
More Than Badges
A Liberty Girls badge represents something a girl has actually experienced, practiced, created, explored, or learned.
A young girl might begin by learning to identify trees and keep a nature journal. Those early adventures can eventually grow into gardening, food preservation, woodworking, navigation, camping, and stewardship of the land.
She might begin with simple knots and later learn the practical skills that use them.
She might start by building a birdhouse and eventually become comfortable with woodworking tools and equipment.
Heritage begins with discovering her own family story and expands into genealogy, traditional arts, music, food, folklore, craftsmanship, and history.
The curriculum is intentionally designed so that skills build upon skills as the girls grow.
Why the Hive?
The honeybee is at the heart of Liberty Girls because a hive represents what we hope to build.
Every bee has value. Every bee has a purpose. And the strength of the hive depends upon each one contributing her part.
Liberty Girls gather in small local groups called Hives, creating an environment where girls can truly know one another, learn together, celebrate one another's accomplishments, and form friendships that can grow with them.

Traditions Worth Growing Into
Some things in Liberty Girls are intentionally earned over time.
As girls grow, they encounter new responsibilities, ceremonies, adventures, uniform pieces, and heirlooms that mark important stages in their journey.
These traditions give girls something to anticipate and work toward.
A uniform piece received years later means more because she remembers when she first saw the older girls wearing it.
A badge means more because she remembers earning it.
A ceremony means more because her family and her Hive are there to witness it.
We want Liberty Girls to leave with more than a box of childhood keepsakes.
We want those objects to hold stories.
Mothers, Families & Community
Liberty Girls recognizes that raising young women has always been a generational endeavor.
Mothers are welcome to participate alongside their daughters, share their own knowledge, help teach skills, attend special events, and become part of the traditions surrounding their Hive.
Mothers who wish to go deeper may also choose to take the Liberty Girls journey alongside their daughters— learning, participating, completing adventures, and earning badges themselves.
This creates something special within the Hive: a sisterhood for all ages.
A Bee Bud may learn beside her mother.
A Liberty Girl may discover that she can teach her mother something new.
A Senior Liberty Girl may begin guiding the younger girls behind her.
And a Liberty Lady can carry the skills, friendships, traditions, and sisterhood of Liberty Girls forward into adulthood.
Fathers, grandparents, craftspeople, community members, and other knowledgeable adults can also have meaningful opportunities to share skills and experiences with the girls.
A child benefits enormously from discovering that the adults around her have things worth teaching—and that she has something worth contributing in return.

From Liberty Girl
to Liberty Lady
Ultimately, Liberty Girls is about the woman a little girl is becoming.
We hope she grows up knowing how to host graciously and venture confidently into the woods. How to care for something fragile and how to build something sturdy. How to preserve family stories, serve her community, solve problems, work with her hands, and continue learning things she does not yet know.
She should know both grace and grit.
And someday, when she stands among the younger girls coming behind her, we hope she understands that she has become someone they can look up to.
A keeper of stories.
